My mom used to do a lot of cross-stitching when I was a kid….and as a result I attempted a cross-stitch project or two myself.
They weren’t that great…not nearly as good as Mom’s.
But I think this is amazing….and maybe worth trying!

My grandmother was Dutch and her stitching was revered in the pre-internet circles. She had a crewel work headboard to die for and samplers like you cannot believe. She even made me beautiful stitched Christmas ornaments for my tree! Thank you for sharing this. It brings back so many wonderful memories of her stitching as we drank tea or of me sitting and watching her tatting and making lace while we visited!
