A Farmer’s Trophy Wife??
I’m Cathryn and am a self-described Farmer’s Trophy Wife! I live with my husband and our three kids on our 3rd generation farm/ranching operation and I am known around these parts as the woman with the perfectly arched eyebrows hidden under my toque in -30 degree weather and the one who wears designer sunglasses while mowing the lawn. I write about anything and everything that strikes my fancy and I hope you enjoy!

I stumbled across your blog on FB and O-M-G…it’s to die for! We have a small ranch/farm up north, north Florida that is! We hunt, fish, ride anything with 2 or 4, legs or wheels! Honestly you have made me so lazy by providing me great outfit ideas that I go to the computer before the closet!
…Now only if you could get the IRS to write acrylic nails off as a tax deduction, because you know that they’re the original multi-purpose farm tool, my life might be perfect! Lots of Love…Steph

Oh my LANTA!!! Hold the phone! What a fun blog, and right where I am at.
I live on a small farm in Oregon. But I am a somewhat rebellious girl in that I am a farm wife but determined not to look like one. I moved here and God bless them, my neighbors looked old, tired, and leathery. There was a girl MY AGE that looked 20 years older than me.
I love vintage clothes and cowboy boots, lace, ruffles and a little sparkle and glam. My two college age daughters have turned out just like me…….lol.
I love my country life, but I DO care about what I look like. I don’t have much money so I thrift, garage sale, and save for a few nicer pieces. I take care of my skin and hair, I exercise, and wear makeup. Sometimes I wonder why being a farm girl, people think that you have to not look nice. It doesn’t take lots of money or time. Im proof that it doesn’t.
I am a farm girl, I also run a small photography business, and a soap and candle business. I work part time for a church and have a hubby and three kids. I am also a musician.
My hubby is not a farmer, I am THE farmer. He and I are a classic rock n roll love story. East meets west and settled in the country. He says I’ve ruined city life for him forever.
Yee haw! lol

Hi Cathryn,
I hope you are feeling not too bad these days and enjoying summer time. We hear the delicious echoes of children’s voices some of the time and know another generation of farm kids are growing up across the road. Keep on doing this great work on behalf of farm wives.
