So yesterday was the last day of Stampede and boy was it a HOT one!!

There is something to be said for only being able to go with my hubby on rainy (no haying) days…

I got a media pass for my lovely little blog, the week before Stampede, with the plans and hopes of being able to post some great pictures of ladies with some FABULOUS Stampede style…

I was a little disapointed.

Now, I got to get down there a couple days, and I probably wasn’t in the best places for finding those with great style…

But seriously.

If I see one more pair of cowboy boots and short-shorts, I might scream.

I rarely voice a strong or negative opinion on my little blog…but this was SO frustrating!

Not sure what I was hoping for…but that wasn’t it.

I was thinking more along these lines…

What did you think?! Come across any fabulous fashion that I missed?!

You need to go to the Rodeo and find the Professional’s wives — they are more your style!! Jay Tittle has one fashion savvy wife (my college roommate!).

Unfortunately- Rodeos, Concerts, and anything “Country” tends to bring out the short shorts, short skirts, and raffia “cowboy” hats, along with cheap boots no one else buys. That’s why there is that term “buckle bunny”.

:)…Love your blog. Of course, I can already visualize what you did see, as it runs rampant here in California when the State Fair has a rodeo :).

Oh my goodness, exactly the reason why I didn’t post any pics from there either! At one point, while in Ranchman’s mid way through a pub crawl filled with 18 year olds, I looked at the Mr. and said, “I think we’ve entered hell”. He quickly replied, “well if it isn’t hell, it’s hell’s waiting room!” And I don’t mind shorts with boots, I’d just like to see them more than three inches long…in total from waist to hem that is :/ !!!

LOL…too funny! There is a time and place, and at least a bar is better than out in broad daylight!

I recently went to our local rodeo and too was disappointed by the attire being all about short shorts and boots. The rodeo clowns were better dressed than most of the crowd.

I agree, there is a more classy way of wearing cowboy boots. Being from Georgia there are a lot of girls that run around in short shorts (Daisy Dukes) and cowgirl boots. I think it looks trashy and not classy. The only time I would ever do that is if I had to run outside real quick and that was the pair of shoes I needed for the job. Not something I would wear in public. Skirts, and dresses and pants are pretty, like the pictures you took πŸ™‚

Ditto…I’ll just have to look harder for those stylish girls next time. I know they are out there!
